peer group skills, and simple things like sharing, craft, reading and music for example. The programming is less structured than the older rooms and is managed so that the children enjoy their time in this room.
Jenny has been in charge of the little ones in this room now for many years and is helped out by this year’s trainee, Emma.
Jenny and Emma always maintain a happy and friendly atmosphere for the children and enjoy meeting the families and discussing their little charges.
As well as inside and out doors play the Tadpoles occasionally visit the Caterpillar room and join in with the older children so that their eventual transition to that room is as easy as it can be.
In 2010 because of the high number of 2 year olds looking for a place, we now also have a tadpole 2 room (T2) which takes up part of the caterpillar room
